Fill out the booking form on our Transportation or Tours page, or message us directly on WhatsApp. Enter your flight details (airline, flight number, arrival date and time), your hotel or address, and the number of passengers. We confirm availability and price in under 24 hours, and you receive your driver's name, phone number and vehicle details by email and WhatsApp.

Not always. For most transfers and tours you can pay on the day of service, directly to your driver or guide. During high-demand dates (Christmas, New Year, Easter and long weekends) we may request a deposit to secure your vehicle.

Yes. Let us know at least 24 hours ahead and we will reschedule at no extra cost, and cancellations made in that window receive a full refund. Cancellations 12–24 hours before pickup receive a 50% refund, and under 12 hours are non-refundable unless caused by a flight delay. Last-minute changes are handled based on availability — message us and we will accommodate whenever possible.

Cash (USD, EUR, CAD and Dominican pesos), credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, secure digital wallets and bank transfer. You can pay in full online, pay the driver on arrival, or split the payment. Corporate invoicing is available on request, and we confirm the available options when you book.

Transfers

No worries. We track all incoming flights in real time and automatically adjust your driver's pickup time at no extra charge. We include 60 minutes of complimentary wait time for international flights and 30 minutes for domestic flights, counted from the actual landing time.

Yes. The quoted price is the final price. There are no hidden charges for tolls, parking or fuel, and one child seat is included at no extra cost.

Our standard transfers are private and exclusive to your group: dedicated vehicle, direct route and flexible departure times. We also offer shared transfers, a budget-friendly option for solo travelers and couples, with up to 3 stops at nearby resorts and departures every 60–90 minutes. Tell us your budget and we will suggest the best vehicle option.

Yes. We have vans and minibuses for groups of up to 20 people, ideal for weddings, retreats, corporate trips and family reunions. Send us the group size, dates and pickup points and we will build a coordinated plan with multiple vehicles if needed.

Yes. Child safety is our priority. We provide complimentary child seats (infant carriers, toddler seats or boosters). Simply specify the age and weight of your child when booking and we will have the appropriate seat installed and sanitized.

Extended routes include La Romana & Casa de Campo (60–90 min), Bayahibe & Dominicus, Santo Domingo (2–2.5 hrs), Miches, Puerto Plata and Samaná.

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall (Terminal A or B) with a sign showing your name. If you don't see them: check both halls, look near the meeting point, call or WhatsApp the driver using the number in your confirmation, or contact our 24/7 support team. We will guide you to meet within minutes.

Yes. Popular stops include grocery stores, pharmacies and ATMs. Each stop typically adds $10–$15 and 10–20 minutes to the trip. Request extra stops when booking or let the driver know on arrival so we can plan the most efficient route.

Tours & experiences

Most full-day tours include lunch and non-alcoholic drinks. Half-day tours usually include bottled water and snacks. Check the specific details of each tour before booking — every tour page lists exactly what is included.

In the Caribbean, rain showers are usually brief and tours run normally. If conditions are not safe, we reschedule your tour at no extra cost or issue a full refund if no alternative date works for you.

Many of them are. Each tour lists its physical activity level and any age or health restrictions. Tell us the ages in your group and we will recommend the options that fit best, including low-impact alternatives.

Yes. We build custom itineraries combining destinations, timing and pace based on what your group wants — beaches, cultural sites, waterfalls, gastronomy or a mix. Send us your ideas and available dates and we will put together a proposal.

Safety & travel

Yes. Everyone goes through an identity, license and experience verification process before joining the team. Our drivers hold professional tourist transportation licenses, pass background checks and receive defensive driving training. Vehicles are 2020 or newer with monthly mechanical inspections, GPS tracking, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers and full passenger insurance coverage.

With a private transfer, yes — you avoid driving unfamiliar roads yourself and your driver knows the route. If you are driving on your own, we recommend avoiding secondary roads at night, since lighting and signage can be limited outside main highways.

Yes. All CJ Transfer drivers speak English and Spanish. Some also speak German, French, Portuguese or Italian, subject to availability. They act as local ambassadors, ready to answer questions, offer recommendations and help with translation.

You have a direct WhatsApp number for your driver or guide throughout the service, plus our 24/7 support line. For medical or police emergencies, the national number in the Dominican Republic is 911.

It is highly recommended. While not always mandatory, travel insurance covers you for unexpected medical issues, trip cancellations and lost luggage. Our vehicles carry full passenger insurance, but that does not replace personal travel coverage.

Luggage, documents & customs

A valid passport and, depending on your nationality, the tourist card — which is often already included in your airfare. Check the specific requirements for your country before traveling, since rules change from time to time.

Standard luggage is included for every passenger. Approximate capacity: Minivan 4–6 large suitcases; Luxury SUV 3–4 suitcases plus golf bags; Van 10–12 suitcases; Minibus 15–18 suitcases. If you are bringing special gear (surf, diving, golf), let us know when booking so we can assign the right vehicle. Drivers assist with loading and unloading.

It depends on your nationality. Many countries do not require a visa for short tourist stays. Check with the relevant Dominican consulate or embassy before your trip to confirm the requirements that apply to you.

In most cases these costs are already included in your airfare. We recommend confirming directly with your airline before you travel so there are no surprises at the airport.
