When is the best time for whale watching?
The humpback whale season runs from mid-January through late March, with peak activity in February. This is when thousands of whales migrate to Samaná Bay to mate and give birth.
Are whale sightings guaranteed?
While we cannot guarantee sightings as these are wild animals, the success rate during whale season is extremely high (over 95%). Our experienced captains know the best locations and behaviors to maximize your chances.
Is this tour suitable for children and elderly passengers?
Yes, this family-friendly tour is suitable for all ages. The boat is stable and equipped with safety features. However, those prone to seasickness should take precautions.
What whale behaviors might we see?
You may witness breaching (whales leaping out of the water), tail-slapping, pec-slapping, spy-hopping, and mothers with calves. Each whale encounter is unique and unforgettable!
What if weather conditions are poor?
Safety is our priority. If sea conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule your tour or provide a full refund. Light rain does not typically affect the tour.
